Power to Save Lives
Imagine if your local hospital lost power 2-5 times every day due to rocket and artillery strikes on the power grid. Now imagine that your hospital has a big generator or two to take care of power outages, so that surgeries and scans and ventilators will all keep going - except that someone keeps dropping accurate bombs onto your giant expensive diesel generators. We don’t need to imagine it, because we've seen it firsthand. It is the reality every day in Ukrainian cities within 50-100 miles of the front lines, where millions of people live and many die every day under bombardment.
There is a solution - distributed power backup units. Each power unit is portable - a large hardened case on wheels - and they are being used right now as backups in hospital operating rooms, intensive care units, blood banks, medical diagnostic labs, ambulances, and paramedic rescue teams - where lives will be lost, if power is lost.
Ukraine Crisis Aid Group has partnered with the Mamay Foundation in Ukraine and New Use Energy, a US-producer of power backup and continuity solutions. NUEnergy and Mamay have been generously donating backup power units to nonprofit hospitals, ambulance services, and rescue teams in Ukraine for the past three years of war. We have personally witnessed the integrity of their supply procedures and physical delivery process and they are the real deal - getting power backup where it is needed most - and where it will save the most lives.
These power backup units are more than just for backup - they are energy hubs that enable stable energy supply and all are solar-ready to be used with flexible portable solar panels. They'll serve not only for the duration of the war and associated medical care crisis - they are intended for a service life of up to 15 years. And being portable, as the situation in Ukraine evolves, they can be redeployed to the areas where they are most needed.
This partnership puts the power to save innocent civilian lives into your hands with the click of a button.
